Dorothy Canning Miller Women of Wisdom eBook Lynn Gilbert Gaylen Moore
I like Dorothy Canning Miller, one of the first female curators for Contemporary Art , because of her honesty, her self knowledge, her modesty, her passion for art. She realized she was lucky to have parents who looked for the best schools. she quickly realized she wasn't an artist, but also realized the artworld would be her world. She worked for more than ten years in the museum world, doing all kind of jobs. After ten years she finally became a staff member of Alfred Barr, the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in New York. The job she wanted for so long. It's very interesting to see how she realized big shows at that time, how exciting that period was.thanks Lynn for this interesting story, will read more!!
